Emma's First Steps

Today while at the sitter's house Emma took her first three steps. :) Of course, I missed it...but we were able to get her take some more steps tonight at the house from dad to mom.
She is so cute she doesn't quite want to let go yet....it reminds me of so many stages of life I have been through, both with my parents (wanting to be independent but not wanting to let go) and with God (wanting to let it be hist way but not wanting to let him take over as the driver). I have never liked change and hate it most of the time when change happens in my life, but as I watch it through the eyes of a mom...I am starting to like it more. Although, I hate the thought of her growing up I am glad I am here to see all of these little changes and "steps" along the way. They are too precious and I can't imagine not being a part of her life. As soon as Emma walks enough that we can get some on video you can bet that I will be recording it and uploading it to youtube for all to see.
