Pictures of Macy

With Jill's permission this is how I thought I would send out some pictures to all of our friends instead of dealing with attachments.

The following pictures are of Macy, (my best friend Jill's baby girl). Say a little prayer for her (Macy) she is currently in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). She was on oxygen for a little while but now she has been taken off, and they think she had a little bit of an infection but after talking to Jill tonight it seems she is fighting it off. She is a tough little girl just like her mommy. :)

I love you Jill and am praying for you and Macy!

No Menus-Victor's Week to Cook

No menu again this week, Victor and I have a new deal we rotate every other week with cooking. So he has this week, and again he won't post his recipes as he doesn't want anyone to know his "secret." I think it is relaly just because he just randomly puts stuff in his dinners....but they always turn out really good. He is quiet the cook! :)

Pics of Emma

Tonight is just a nice relaxing evening. I had to change my menu and cook the manicotti tonight instead of the chinese lemon chicken because I didn't read ahead in the recipe to see it had to cook in the crockpot for 4 hours. (I know Mrs. Sheets read the directions).

Tomorrow we take Emma to her Ear, Nose and Throat Dr. I am a littler nervouse about what they will want to do. Victor and I have talked about it a lot and I guess we will make a decision tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of Emma the bath pictures are from the other evening and the pictures of her eating are from tonight. Tonight she tried some pineapple and manicotti....she seemed to like them both very well....of course her favorite thing was the chunk cheese. :)

Kisses from Emma

This weekend we had a nice relaxing weekend. Last weekend we had ran all over the state it felt like visiting both grandparents so it was nice to just be lazy.
On Saturday, Victor worked out in the yard all day and so Emma and I got to spend lots of time together inside. She is growing so fast it is unbelievable.

One of her new favorite things besides saying Ma Ma, Da Da, and Na Na (no no-while shaking her head) is to look at herself in a mirror.

Look at the video below for a quick clip of Emma in front of the mirror.

Emma is 10 months old

Emma went to stay last night with my sister-n-law and brother and their three boys. She had a great time and although mom and dad loved going to a movie, shopping and sleeping the whole night through. We missed her like crazy and was ready for her to come back home. When she got home today we spent some time playing in the floor. She got a new toy from Katelyn (Kim) and she loves it. She loves standing and walking around the whole thing and crawling under.

Her other newest favorite toy is a penguin that she hits and it bounces back and forth while talking to her. That toy is from Memaw.

Here are a few pictures of her today...she is getting so big!

My To Do List....

Isn't it amazing how your list of things that you want to accomplish in your life or career changes as you have a family. I found my list of things I wanted to do before I got married amoung them:
*Write a children's book and have it published.
*Finish my Master's

Well, I met Victor and I quickly forgot about "the list" and when I thought about the list I decided it would be my to do list before we had kids. Then along came Emma, and the list became unimportant. Well, I have decided to not give up on that list just yet, perhaps it just doesn't need a timeline. I have new inspiration to complete both of those unfinished goals. A friend of mine at work and I wrote an article for the MSTA (Missouri State Teacher's Association) Class Notes Magazine for new teachers.

Since I am not a first year teacher I only got a couple of copies of the actual article published but they also put it on their website. The address is listed below:
http://msta.org/new_teachers/classnotes/

I am excited about it and hoping it leads to other things. In August I am supposed to write an article for them on Setting up a Classroom Community. Victor and I both would love to write books, (he would love to write chapter books for teenagers and I would like to write picture books). Through this article being published it has inspired me to get started and not wait. I am hoping to finish the book that I started last month by the end of the summer, have many people look over it for feedback and start sending it to publishers......we'll cross our fingers and see what happens. Even if nothing comes, I can say that I tried.
